Riyadh airport to resume flights after suspension linked to Houthi attacks

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh will resume flights on Sunday, after services were suspended following attacks by Yemen’s Houthi group.

The airport said Terminal 1 will serve domestic flights and Terminal 2 international flights operated by Saudi national airlines.

It advised passengers with confirmed bookings to check their flight status with their airline before going to the airport.

The Houthis said they had attacked airports in Riyadh, Dammam and Najran, as well as oil facilities and a military base in Saudi Arabia.

The attacks have repeatedly targeted the Riyadh airport, and an earlier attack by the group caused deaths and injured hundreds, according to the report.

Passengers should confirm their plans with their airlines before traveling to the airport.
