Federal Court challenge to Adelaide MotoGP circuit discontinued

A Queensland man, Joshua Hogan, discontinued his Federal Court challenge to South Australia’s proposed MotoGP circuit in Adelaide.

Hogan had asked the court for a permanent injunction to stop the project.

The $96 million circuit would require nearly 400 trees to be removed.

Construction is due to begin in December, and Adelaide is scheduled to host MotoGP in November 2027.

The case ended at a brief hearing, and neither the state nor federal government is seeking costs from Hogan.

The court challenge is over, so the planned construction can proceed without this case blocking it.
