Colts receiver Josh Downs requests a trade
Colts receiver Josh Downs has requested a trade as Indianapolis moves players ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
The team has already traded guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, and general manager Chris Ballard has been fired.
Downs has caught 26 passes for 307 yards in seven games this season, with no touchdowns.
He is 25 and in the final year of his rookie contract, so he is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
The Colts have not said whether they will trade him, though Downs has reportedly attracted interest from multiple teams.
Running back Jonathan Taylor is another possible trade target, but coach Shane Steichen said Taylor has not asked to leave and remains on the team.
The deadline is Nov.
