Turkey offers flood-hit small businesses loans of up to 1 million lira

Turkey's Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced a new loan program for flood-hit businesses in Istanbul and other parts of the country.

Through KOSGEB, small businesses can borrow up to 1 million lira, while micro businesses can borrow up to 500,000 lira.

KOSGEB will cover all interest or profit-share costs, so borrowers pay no financing cost.

Loans run for 24 months, with no payments due for the first six months.

The program is for micro and small businesses affected by floods in Turkey during 2026, whose damage has been assessed by provincial authorities.

Applicants must provide official documents showing the flooding affected them and its effects continue.

Applications close on 31 December 2026.
