Pedro Sánchez discusses corruption and Ceuta on La Revuelta

Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez appeared on La Revuelta, a late-night show hosted by David Broncano.

The interview took place at Madrid’s Albéniz Theatre and mixed jokes with questions about government policy.

Sánchez called corruption cases involving former allies José Luis Ábalos and Santos Cerdán a disappointment and a mistake during his time in government.

He also defended his handling of Ceuta, while acknowledging that the situation could have been managed better.

The appearance gave Sánchez a more informal setting to reach viewers as he seeks votes, and he said he would also go on rival programme El Hormiguero if invited.

The interview also touched on housing, the cost of living and the so-called “gag law,” but no further appearance dates were given.
