Chemring's Roke wins US defence agreement worth at least $170 million

Roke, part of UK defence group Chemring, signed a US deal with a major American defence contractor.

The five-year agreement is worth at least $170 million and covers Roke's Nav-Sync Miniature Radar Altimeter.

The device measures altitude over land and sea and is designed for high-speed platforms and uncrewed aircraft.

Roke has an initial $16 million production order for the first 12 months of the agreement.

Deliveries are due to begin in October 2026, and the relationship is expected to continue beyond the initial term to at least 2035.

The deal gives Roke a foothold in a major US defence programme and supports Chemring's effort to grow its international business.

A multi-year agreement does not guarantee all expected work; further activity depends on programme awards, funding and delivery, and investors will look for updates on the contract's contribution to Chemring's order book.
