Three Iveco investors could gain €63 million from Tata's offer
Three investors hold about 20.4% of Iveco, the Italian truckmaker Tata Motors is seeking to buy.
The investors are hedge funds Davidson Kempner and Syquant Capital, and activist investor Petrus Advisers.
They could gain about €63 million at Tata's revised offer price of €14.40 per share, on top of an estimated €288 million in extraordinary dividends paid in April.
Tata announced in July 2025 that it would buy Iveco's commercial vehicle business for about €3.8 billion, while Iveco's defence business was sold separately to Leonardo.
Petrus values Iveco at about €18 a share, roughly 25% above Tata's offer price.
The investors have not yet accepted the offer, which opened on 7 September, and their decisions could determine whether Tata reaches the 80% shareholding needed to take full control and delist Iveco.
