Elizabeth Holmes Told Nathan Fielder “I Trust You” in Call From Prison
Elizabeth Holmes called director Nathan Fielder from prison shortly before his documentary, “You Can See Everything,” opened in theaters.
It was their first conversation in more than six months.
The film follows Holmes, her partner Billy Evans and their family in the weeks before Holmes began an 11-year prison sentence.
Holmes told Fielder twice, “I trust you” during the call, after he asked what she thought about the film.
Fielder said he did not know what she meant and remained puzzled by her decision to let him film at their home.
The documentary lets viewers see Holmes up close as they form their own view of her, a reason Evans gave for agreeing to take part.
The film is now playing in theaters.
