Five films lead the 2026 Gotham Awards nominations with four nods each

The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced nominations for the 2026 Gotham Film Awards, recognizing 42 feature films and 25 performances across 11 categories.

Five films each received four nominations: “All of a Sudden,” “Clarissa,” “La Gradiva,” “The Invite” and “Tender Loving Care.”

The awards recognize films across categories including Best Feature, International Feature and Documentary Feature.

The nominations include work by established filmmakers and first-time directors, and Gotham recognition can help bring less widely known films to Oscar voters’ attention.

The Audience Award returns after six years away, with Gotham members voting for the winner.

Its nominees were selected from submitted films using opening-weekend per-theater averages and audience measures including Letterboxd ratings and viewing figures.

The ceremony is scheduled for November 30 in New York City.
