Australia lead England 48-0 in Women’s Rugby League World Cup

Australia led England 48-0 early in the second half of their Women’s Rugby League World Cup match in Perth.

The Jillaroos scored 12 tries by the 41st minute, with Kelleher adding several goals.

The match was still underway, so the score was not final.

Australia had also beaten Samoa 40-0 in its opening game, while England began with a 70-6 win over Wales.

England’s last meeting with Australia ended in a 90-4 defeat in Las Vegas in 2025, a result that exposed the gap between the teams.

England’s World Cup squad has since been reshaped, with only six players from that match selected, but Australia remains a leading international side.

The second half continued with England needing to respond to Australia’s commanding lead.
