Aryzta to close two German bakeries and move production to Eisleben
Swiss frozen-bakery group Aryzta will close plants in Nordhausen and Gerolzhofen in Germany.
The company plans to move their production to its plant in Eisleben, in Saxony-Anhalt.

The union says 440 workers are affected and about 250 jobs will be cut, while some staff are expected to be offered jobs in Eisleben.
Aryzta expects the changes to reduce German sales by about €35 million to €40 million and cost €56 million to €61 million to carry out.
The changes are mainly planned for 2026 and 2027, and the company expects them to improve its profit margin over the medium term.
