Ocarina of Time remake map hints at changes to Hyrule

Nintendo's 2026 Ocarina of Time remake has a newly revealed Hyrule map in official artwork shared on its X account.

The eastern region, including Kakariko Village, Death Mountain and Zora's Domain, appears larger than in the original game.

The western Gerudo territory and southern Lake Hylia look mostly unchanged, though the Gerudo area may appear smaller.

The map is an artist's rendering, not the in-game map, so it does not confirm that these areas are larger during play.

The remake is described as mostly faithful to the 1998 Nintendo 64 game, with updated visuals and some changes to dungeons, puzzles and paths.

Nintendo may have expanded or added detail to some locations, but the map alone cannot show what has changed.

Players will find out when the remake launches soon and they can explore its version of Hyrule.
