Diana Silvers prepares an album about grief and growing up
Actor and musician Diana Silvers is preparing her second album, titled Daughter of Sorts.
The 14-song folk record is due out on Nov.
13 through Capitol.
Silvers wrote it after her father died suddenly in October 2025, the same month her debut album was released.
She says the new songs also reflect the shift from girlhood to womanhood and the challenges of being in her late twenties.
Tracks including “Plans” and “8.8” address regret, loss and her relationship with her father, while “8.8” includes a voicemail from him.
The album turns personal grief into its central subject, with Silvers saying she shaped its choices to reflect the experience of losing a parent.
