Lygg to launch three weekly flights between Emden and Esbjerg

Airline Lygg plans to start flights between Emden in north-western Germany and Esbjerg on Denmark’s west coast on 13 October.

The service is aimed especially at businesses in offshore and energy industries.

Both towns are important locations for the offshore wind industry.

Flights are scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, using a 19-seat aircraft.

They will run either directly or with a stop in Groningen in the Netherlands.

Lygg says the flights offer an alternative to lengthy journeys by land.

The company already flies between Groningen and Esbjerg and plans to build a wider network around the North Sea, adding more regional airports.
