Marvin Harrison Jr. set for Texans debut against Jaguars

The Houston Texans expect Marvin Harrison Jr. to make his debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Houston acquired the wide receiver from the Arizona Cardinals in a trade for a 2027 second-round pick.

Harrison will reunite with Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, his former teammate at Ohio State.

His production had fallen in his second season, with five catches for 85 yards through four games, after he made 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie.

Stroud defended Harrison and said he believes the receiver can succeed by focusing on what he can control.

Harrison may not have a large role right away, so expectations for his first game should be measured.

Sunday’s game against Jacksonville will be his first chance to begin a new chapter with Houston.
