Passengers describe train knife attack during attempted murder trial

Passengers described a knife attack on a train in testimony heard at Cambridge Crown Court.

Jonathan Gjoshe said he was stabbed first and warned others to run, but some passengers initially thought he was joking.

Several passengers said they were stabbed or feared for their lives, including a 73-year-old man who told the court he thought he would die.

One passenger said his pet cockapoo startled the attacker, while another threw luggage to try to stop him.

Williams, 33, denies 10 counts of attempted murder relating to the train attack.

He also denies four other alleged attempted murders in earlier incidents in Peterborough and London.

The court heard the accounts through witness testimony and recorded interviews.
