Dolomiti Energia to buy 91.6% of Retragas for €64.4 million
Dolomiti Energia has agreed to buy 91.6% of Retragas for about €64.4 million, in a deal with A2A.
The stake includes shares held by A2A and Unareti, and the ownership transfer is expected by the end of 2026.
Retragas operates about 394 kilometres of gas pipelines, including routes that carry gas from Lombardy into Trentino’s valleys.
Dolomiti Energia says the existing network will help it build its planned gas links more quickly around Madonna di Campiglio, with connections toward Tione and Cles.
The company says some areas of western Trentino still lack access to the gas network, and the acquisition is intended to help serve them.
The deal also supports Dolomiti Energia’s wider plan to invest in energy networks alongside renewable power and other energy sources.
