Uttar Pradesh approves two free LPG refills for Ujjwala households
The Uttar Pradesh government approved two free LPG refills for eligible beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in the 2026-27 financial year.
The scheme covers Ujjwala households across the state, with about 1.86 crore women beneficiaries reported.
One refill is scheduled for October to December 2026, around Diwali, and the second for January to March 2027, around Holi.

About 45,000 Ujjwala beneficiaries in Bahraich still need e-KYC, and officials advise them to contact their gas agency.
One report says the free refill applies only to 14.2-kilogram cylinders, not five-kilogram ones; eligible households should check details with their gas agency.
