Jaylen Waddle's Week 8 status uncertain after chest injury

Denver receiver Jaylen Waddle aggravated a chest injury during Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The injury was a flare-up of an earlier chest problem, and he left the game after being hurt on a play.

His status for Week 8 is still undecided as the Denver Broncos prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs.

Waddle's availability will depend on how he feels and whether he can practice this week.

If he cannot play, Denver's other receivers could get more snaps and targets, including Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims Jr. Sutton has had more targets than the other receivers apart from Waddle in recent weeks, but his production has been limited.

The Broncos will assess Waddle during practice before deciding whether he can play Sunday.
