Amazon expands Alexa shopping tools for lists, deliveries and subscriptions

Amazon has added more than 100 shopping capabilities to Alexa, its AI shopping assistant.

Customers in the US can use it to create and edit shopping lists and gift registries, and move items between them.

The assistant can also change delivery instructions and recurring orders, such as shifting a delivery from monthly to every three months.

It can answer questions about Prime and Audible subscriptions, billing, refunds and unfamiliar charges.

Amazon launched Alexa for Shopping in May, and the tool also compares products, sets price alerts and can buy items when their price falls below a set level.

These tools aim to make shopping tasks easier to manage through Alexa, as Amazon expands its AI shopping features ahead of the holiday season.

The new capabilities are rolling out to US customers.
