Garanti BBVA wins three GBM Awards for sustainable and project finance
Garanti BBVA won three awards at the GBM Awards 2026 for work in sustainable lending and project finance.
The awards cover Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Türkiye.
The bank was named Sustainable Loan Institution of the Year and Sustainable Loan Deal of the Year, and also won Infrastructure and Project Finance Institution of the Year.
The recognised projects included financing for roads, electricity networks and a loan supporting a fair, low-carbon transition.
That syndicated loan totalled $225.25 million and €65.5 million and involved 32 banks from 15 countries.
The awards recognise how banks help fund major investments and sustainability-related change.
