Banyuwangi Batik Festival Teams Up With Financial Inclusion Campaign
Indonesia’s financial regulator, OJK, has joined the Banyuwangi Batik Festival to support local batik makers and small businesses.
The festival is taking place in Banyuwangi, a district in Indonesia, from November 6 to 8, 2026.
The partnership combines the festival with Indonesia’s Financial Inclusion Month to promote financial knowledge and access to services.
Batik is both a local cultural tradition and a source of income for artisans, traders, designers and small businesses.
This year’s festival features the Sabuk Mangir Latar Ukel batik motif, alongside fashion shows, a small-business bazaar and financial literacy events.
Organizers say the festival can help makers promote their work, meet customers and expand their markets.
Local officials also want makers to use digital financial services to reach more buyers, and hope the partnership will continue.
