Kang Seung-ho won the Actor of the Year award at the 31st Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

The award is given to an actor in the festival’s Vision – Korean section for strong acting and promise for future growth.

Seung-ho received it for playing Ji-hyun, an unknown actor who suddenly faces death, in the upcoming film “Traces of the Universe.”

Judges Yoo Yeon-seok and Go Ah-sung praised his restrained emotions and natural delivery, saying his performance conveyed the character’s inner life.

The win adds to Seung-ho’s work across films, theatre and television, including his role in “The First Son” and a new actor award at the 45th Golden Cinematography Awards.
