Russia, Ukraine and US plan Abu Dhabi talks after November 4

Russia, Ukraine and the United States plan to resume peace talks in Abu Dhabi after November 4, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said.

No exact date has been agreed, and Ushakov said timing depends partly on battlefield conditions and the wider situation.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he hopes the meeting can happen between November 6 and 10, while an earlier account said he expected it as early as November 10.

The talks would be the next round of three-way discussions aimed at finding a settlement to Russia’s war in Ukraine, which has lasted four and a half years.

Zelensky said Ukraine is ready to discuss sensitive issues, but warned that it will not accept peace at any price.

The fighting and the Middle East conflict could delay the meeting, according to Ushakov.

The next step is for the sides to settle a date; Russia has not finalized its delegation, and whether European representatives will join remains unclear.
