Two More Dune Films Arrive on HBO Max
Two Dune-related films have arrived on HBO Max in the US ahead of the next film in the franchise.
One is David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert’s first Dune novel.
Lynch’s film covers the whole novel in about two hours, a choice that some viewers found made the story overstuffed and difficult to follow.
It has also developed a cult following over time.
The other new title, Jodorowsky’s Dune, is a documentary about Alejandro Jodorowsky’s unsuccessful effort to make a Dune film in the 1970s.
These titles join Denis Villeneuve’s two Dune films on the service, while Dune: Part Three is due in theaters next month.
