One UI 9 Brings Many Galaxy S26 AI Features to the S24
Samsung began rolling out stable One UI 9 to older Galaxy phones in October 2026.
A reviewer installed the update on a Galaxy S24 Ultra to see how much it changed the phone.
The S24 series gained most of the Galaxy AI tools Samsung introduced for the S26.
These include Now Nudge, which suggests actions based on what is on screen, and Call Brief, which can show useful context during a call.
The update also adds My FanCam, which can create a video clip that follows a selected person, along with changes to Quick Panel controls and Samsung Notes.
The update narrows the software gap between the S24 and S26, but it cannot add newer hardware features such as the S26 Ultra’s privacy display or faster charging.
Samsung’s rollout reached the S24 series after the S26, S25 and 2025 foldable phones.
