American Airlines resumes daily Miami–Cap-Haïtien flights
American Airlines has resumed flights to Haiti with daily nonstop service between Miami and Cap-Haïtien.
The airline’s first flight landed at Cap-Haïtien International Airport on November 1, after service to Haiti had been suspended.
An all-Haitian, Creole-speaking crew operated the inaugural flight, led by Captain Oliver Jean.
The route links northern Haiti with American’s Miami hub, where passengers can connect to more than 90 destinations across the United States.
The daily service restores an air link that officials say can help families reconnect and support business and tourism.
American says the route is the 100th destination in its Caribbean and Latin America network.
The flights are scheduled to continue daily, though schedules may change.
