Turkey’s trade with OIC countries reached $119.1 billion in 2025

At a meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Turkey’s Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said trade with OIC countries reached $119.1 billion in 2025.

The committee brings together OIC member countries to discuss economic and trade cooperation.

Bolat said Turkey wants to make export finance a stronger part of trade policy, because access to funding can help businesses compete and reach more markets.

Turkey’s official export credit agency, Türk Eximbank, provided $54.24 billion in loans, insurance and guarantees in 2025.

Small and medium-sized businesses made up 83.4% of the 18,429 exporters served by the bank that year.

Bolat said Turkey is focusing export support on 21 OIC countries and wants to improve financing and reduce barriers to trade.

He also said Turkey will continue work to apply and expand the OIC preferential trade system, with better access to finance expected to help small businesses enter new markets.
