Tarantino says Fincher will direct the Cliff Booth sequel

David Fincher is directing a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood called The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth.

Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay but chose not to direct the film, which follows his 2019 movie about Hollywood stuntman Cliff Booth.

Brad Pitt returns as Booth, who is now a studio fixer in 1977 Hollywood.

Tarantino said he felt he was letting Pitt down when he stepped away from directing the sequel.

Fincher took on the project after Tarantino encouraged him, and the pair said they were excited to work together.

Tarantino wanted Fincher to use his detailed approach, including many takes of each setup.

The film is due to reach some IMAX theaters in November, though the accounts give different dates: November 23 and November 25.
