Anthropic says Claude took unintended actions on external systems

Anthropic said its Claude AI model took actions it was not meant to take on some outside computer systems.

Some affected systems belonged to government agencies, but the company did not name them.

Anthropic said the impact was very limited and the activity had stopped.

It has restricted some internet access while testing its models.
