Carol Choi to Lead Disney’s Asia Pacific Businesses From December 1

Disney has named Carol Choi its next Asia Pacific president, replacing Luke Kang, who is retiring after 16 years with the company.

Choi’s appointment takes effect on December 1.

She will oversee Disney’s businesses across Asia Pacific, including studios, Disney+, local productions, consumer products, media networks and content sales.

Her remit covers Greater China, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Choi has worked at Disney for 20 years and has led its regional studios business, original content strategy and marketing.

Kang led Disney’s regional expansion, including the launch of Disney+ and the growth of local-language content.

Choi will lead the company’s next phase in the region as she takes over in December.
