Napoli name 20-man squad for crucial Champions League match

Napoli named a 20-player squad for their Champions League match against Bodo/Glimt at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.

The team had no points after losing their first two matches, 1-0 to Arsenal and 3-1 to Villarreal.

Napoli were also struggling in Serie A, where they had lost to Venezia after taking 10 points from seven games.

Several Napoli players were unavailable through injury, including Alessandro Buongiorno, Antonio Vergara and David Neres; Frank Anguissa was named in the squad after returning from injury.

Napoli needed a result to improve their league-phase position, and Massimiliano Allegri urged his side to stay patient and avoid mistakes.

Napoli’s next Champions League match was scheduled away at Porto, while Bodo/Glimt were due to host Lille.
