Kutluhan Taşkın appointed deputy treasury and finance minister

Turkey appointed Kutluhan Taşkın as a deputy treasury and finance minister in a decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Taşkın had been a deputy head of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, a government body.

He graduated in business from Boğaziçi University in 2001 and later earned a master’s degree in public administration at Cornell University.

His career has focused on economic planning and government strategy, including senior roles in the former Development Ministry and the Presidency of Strategy and Budget.

He was also appointed to the board of the Meat and Milk Board on October 16, three days before the ministerial appointment.

The decree also removed Capital Markets Board chair Mahmut Sütcü and named new officials to several other government posts.

The announcements were published in Turkey’s Official Gazette, which records government appointments and dismissals.
