My Chemical Romance Releases Animated Short With Star Voice Cast
My Chemical Romance has released an animated short film called “Prelude to the End,” made with visual artist Lauren Tsai.
Phoebe Bridgers, Billie Eilish, Hideo Kojima and John C. McGinley voice characters in the film.
It follows Astrid, a student at a New England boarding school overwhelmed by trash, who falls into a strange world where old ideas come to life.
Bridgers voices Astrid’s sister, Eilish plays her close friend, Kojima is the Teacher, and McGinley is the Dean.
The release follows a 20th-anniversary reissue of The Black Parade, the album at the center of the band’s current tour.
The band plans to screen the film at its October 30 and 31 Hollywood Bowl shows, the final nights of a five-night residency in Los Angeles.
