Falcons activate A.J. Terrell from injured reserve

The Atlanta Falcons activated cornerback A.J. Terrell from injured reserve on Saturday.

Terrell hurt his groin in Week 2 and returned to practice this week.

He is back on the active roster and will play against the 49ers on Sunday.

His return gives Atlanta’s defense back a starting cornerback who missed at least four games.

The Falcons also placed tackle Michael Jerrell on injured reserve and signed defensive end Drake Jackson to the active roster.

Running back Khalil Herbert and linebacker Brian Asamoah were called up for the game, while wide receiver Beaux Collins and tackle Cameron Williams were ruled out; defensive back Avieon Terrell remains questionable with an illness and hamstring injury.
