Philip Morris Korea’s Yangsan factory received a ministerial commendation for its contribution to renewable energy development.
The award was presented at a ceremony at COEX in Seoul on October 23, according to the company.
The factory began increasing its renewable energy sourcing in 2024.
By last year, renewable sources supplied all the electricity it used.
The factory also recovers and reuses waste heat from equipment that produces chilled water.
