Birmingham woman given supervision order over years of neighbour harassment

Sufina Aslam harassed neighbours for seven years at their home in Yardley, Birmingham.

Footage showed her throwing rubbish, including nappies and sanitary towels, into their garden and tipping pans of oil over the fence.

The family said the harassment caused sleepless nights and affected their health and their children’s education.

The neighbours spent £4,000 on cleanup and repairs to their home.

Aslam pleaded guilty to two counts of harassment and one count of breaching a restraining order, but avoided a prison sentence.

Birmingham Magistrates’ Court gave her a 12-month intensive supervision order and ordered her to pay the neighbours £70.

The judge warned that further offending could lead to jail.
