Kia K3 overtakes Tesla Model Y as Colombia’s top-selling car in October

Colombia registered 32,175 new vehicles in October, up 27.4% from the same month in 2025 and the strongest October result since 2014.

The Kia K3 was the month’s top-selling model, with 1,356 registrations.

The Tesla Model Y, which had led for seven months in a row, placed fifth with 884.

Tesla’s Model Y still led sales from January to October, with 15,265 registrations, compared with 9,063 for the Kia K3.

Electric and hybrid vehicles also gained ground: October registrations rose 120% for electric vehicles and 53.7% for hybrids.

The Bogotá Auto Show in November could lift sales further, and the industry expects about 335,000 vehicles to be registered in Colombia in 2026.
