Dan Orlovsky says brother-in-law died unexpectedly

Dan Orlovsky said his brother-in-law, Federico Lascano, died suddenly.

Lascano leaves behind his wife, Christine, and their three sons, aged 11, 16 and 18.

Orlovsky said his sister is now facing life as a solo parent on one income while helping her sons grieve.

Orlovsky, a former Detroit Lions quarterback, is now an NFL analyst for ESPN and ABC.

He shared a fundraiser asking people to support the family during what he called a painful and uncertain time.

The fundraiser is intended to help with family bills and costs, as well as future education.

The cause of Lascano’s death has not been stated.
