Line of Duty season 7 may arrive in late January 2027

Line of Duty is set to return for a seventh season after its last episodes aired in May 2021.

A TV insider says it could arrive in late January 2027, earlier than the late-March timing viewers may have expected.

The BBC has not confirmed the date, and its release date remains to be announced.

In the new season, the anti-corruption unit AC-12 has been disbanded and renamed the Inspectorate of Police Standards.

Ted Hastings, Kate Fleming and Steve Arnott are assigned a sensitive case involving DI Dominic Gough, a celebrated officer accused of abusing his position to act as a sexual predator.

The case may distract from a bigger threat, according to the show's synopsis.
