Businessman Gives Record 10 Million Won to Hometown Jecheon
Businessman Ahn Seong-ho donated 10 million won to Jecheon, a city in South Korea’s North Chungcheong province.
He made the donation in two installments of 5 million won, on October 8 and October 19.
The total is Jecheon’s largest donation under the Hometown Love Donation scheme since the program began three years ago.
Ahn runs a steel-structure manufacturing company in Dangjin, South Chungcheong province, and is originally from Jecheon’s Cheongpung area.
He has also donated instant noodles for low-income households in Cheongpung and funds to his former school.
Jecheon says the money will support local development and residents’ welfare.
