Mexico’s September exports rise 37.9% to third-highest monthly level

Mexico’s exports reached $77.8 billion in September, up 37.9% from the same month in 2025 and the third-highest monthly total on record.

The country’s statistics agency said electrical and electronic equipment exports rose 94.7%, while automotive exports grew 5.7%.

The United States is Mexico’s main export market, and shipments of non-oil goods there rose 43.5% from a year earlier.

Imports also climbed, reaching $78.4 billion, as purchases of production inputs, consumer goods and equipment increased.

That left a $606 million trade deficit for September, reversing an $605 million surplus in August.

For January through September, Mexico still recorded a $9.25 billion trade surplus, with exports totalling $627.2 billion and imports $617.9 billion.
