Knicks decline Pacome Dadiet’s fourth-year option

The New York Knicks are declining Pacome Dadiet’s fourth-year contract option for the 2027-28 season.

Dadiet, a 21-year-old French wing, was selected by the Knicks in the first round of the 2024 draft.

The option was worth $5.37 million, and declining it means Dadiet can become an unrestricted free agent in 2027.

He is already due to earn about $2.98 million in 2026-27 under his current contract.

Dadiet has played sparingly in the NBA, averaging 1.6 points and 1.0 rebound across 48 appearances.

The decision gives New York more financial flexibility for the 2027 offseason, when several roster and contract decisions are expected.

The Knicks and Dadiet can still discuss a new deal in 2027, but the team cannot offer a starting salary above the value of the declined option.
