Stallone says Schwarzenegger’s move into politics ended their rivalry

Sylvester Stallone says his decades-long rivalry with Arnold Schwarzenegger ended after Schwarzenegger turned his attention to politics in the early 2000s.

The two actors were leading action-film stars in the 1980s and 1990s, with hits including Rocky, Rambo and The Terminator.

Stallone said their competition pushed them to make action films bigger and more intense.

It was so tense that they could not appear together on stage and could not agree to make a film as neighbors.

Stallone said he stopped seeing Schwarzenegger as a rival when he was no longer making movies.

The two later worked together on several films, including Expendables 2 and Escape Plan.

Stallone says they are friends, though he still sees some competition between them.
