Most Italian workers use AI, but workplace rules are often missing

A survey in Italy found that 87% of workers, managers, recruiters and job seekers use generative AI.

It was conducted by Censuswide for Indeed and included 1,000 people.

Writing, data analysis, research and repetitive tasks are among the most common uses.

Nearly two-thirds of companies have some guidance, but only 23% have formal written rules; smaller businesses are less likely to have guidance than larger ones.

Many workers do not openly discuss their AI use: 37% said they had used it at work without telling colleagues or a manager.

Clear rules can explain what tools may be used, what data can be entered and how AI use should be recorded.

More than a third of companies without guidance plan to introduce it, as workplaces adapt their processes.
