Zhuzhou launches weekly Saturday fashion and shopping event
Zhuzhou in Hunan has launched a weekly fashion event called “Crazy Saturday” at its Lusong clothing market area.
The area is a major clothing hub, with 38 specialist markets, and has mainly served daytime wholesale buyers.
Ten markets will stay open until 10 pm instead of closing at 5 pm, with discounts for shoppers.
A nearby market with 64 stalls adds local clothing brands, crafts, food and design products, along with activities for visitors.
A styling contest brought 20 finalists onto the runway, with every outfit made from clothes sold in the Lusong markets.
