WWE Signs Necro Butcher to a Legends Deal

WWE has reportedly signed independent wrestling veteran Necro Butcher to a Legends deal, even though he has never wrestled for the company.

Butcher built his reputation in independent wrestling, especially through his brutal deathmatches.

His match against Samoa Joe for IWA Mid-South drew fresh attention after it was featured on the wrestling series Dark Side of the Ring in July.

According to PWInsider, the deal is mainly intended to make Butcher available for upcoming WWE video games.

WWE President Nick Khan reportedly helped make the agreement happen, recognizing Butcher’s reputation and potential value to the games.

Butcher said the deal could lead to several projects, but he plans to take things slowly and keep his independent wrestling commitments.

WWE has not shared details of any planned projects, so what the agreement will lead to remains unclear.
