Hong Ling and Nick Teo say they are expecting a baby girl

Singapore actors Hong Ling and Nick Teo are expecting a daughter, they announced on Instagram.

A video of their gender reveal showed pink balloons, confirming the baby will be a girl.

The couple said they had expected a boy, partly because a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner had predicted one.

The couple were surprised by the reveal, but said they had no preference for a boy or a girl.

They married in 2023, and this is Hong Ling's second pregnancy; she previously had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.

They have not chosen a name or started shopping for baby items, and say they are taking preparations at their own pace.

Their baby is due in 2027.
