Blake Snell's wife shares threat after Dodgers' NLCS loss
Haeley Snell shared a threat sent to her online after the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to Milwaukee in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series.
The message warned her to tell her husband, Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell, to “back off” and threatened to cut off her fingers.
The Dodgers lost 6-2 and fell to their third straight defeat in the series.
Snell gave up back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning, while Los Angeles also struggled to score with runners on base.
The threat targeted a player's family after a game, amid wider concern about online abuse of professional athletes and their relatives.
Earlier this year, several major US sports leagues urged state regulators to impose lifetime bans on bettors who harass players and team staff.
A possible Game 7 could follow if the Dodgers come back, but the message did not explain why it named October 20.
