Hearts winger Calvin Miller ruled out for about two months

Hearts winger Calvin Miller is expected to miss about two months after a knee injury in the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Hibernian.

Manager Wouter Vrancken said Miller has a meniscus injury and needs surgery, with the recovery time depending on the operation.

Midfielder Tomas Magnusson also left the match with concussion, but Vrancken said he was improving and should return after the international break.

Hearts will be without ten first-team players for Thursday’s Conference League match away to FC Thun in Switzerland.

The team is still seeking its first win in the competition, after a 1-1 draw with Nordsjaelland and a 2-0 loss to Trabzonspor.

Vrancken said players have been filling in out of position as he tries to manage the growing injury absences.

Hearts aim to win against Thun before the international break.
